Spiti Valley, located in the northeastern part of Himachal Pradesh, India, is a unique and remote destination known for its stark landscapes, ancient monasteries, and rich Tibetan culture.
Spiti Valley is situated at a high altitude, ranging from 3,500 to 4,500 meters (11,500 to 14,800 feet) above sea level. It is accessible from Manali via the famous Manali-Leh Highway, which remains open from late spring to early autumn (May to October). The journey from Manali to Kaza (the main town in Spiti Valley) takes around 8-10 hours by road.
